Fundlyr privacy
Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Fundlyr collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains information when you use our intentional money organization service.
Last updated: April 26, 2026
1. Overview
Fundlyr helps people understand what money is safe to spend by organizing balances, income, bills, goals, spending envelopes, and transaction activity. To provide those features, we collect information you give us, information generated by your use of the Service, and financial information you authorize us to access through bank connection providers.
We do not sell your personal information or bank transaction data. We use information to operate, secure, support, improve, and bill for Fundlyr.
2. Information we collect
Account information
We collect information such as your name, email address, password hash, authentication details, account role, subscription status, billing status, login activity, and account preferences.
Financial information you authorize
When you connect a financial account, we may receive account names, institution names, account types, balances, available balances, transaction names, merchants, amounts, dates, categories, pending status, account identifiers, and related metadata from our bank connection providers.
Budgeting and cash-flow information
We collect the information needed to power Fundlyr features, including envelopes, goals, paycheck allocation rules, category keywords, merchant matching rules, review decisions, balance movements, notes you enter, and available-to-spend calculations.
Support and communications
If you contact us, we collect the content of your message, contact details, related account context, and any follow-up correspondence needed to respond.
Technical and usage information
We may collect IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, feature usage, cookies or similar identifiers, logs, error reports, security events, referral information, and approximate location derived from technical data.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, secure, and maintain user accounts.
- Connect bank accounts and sync balances and transactions you authorize.
- Calculate available-to-spend amounts, envelope balances, paycheck allocations, goals, and transaction review suggestions.
- Process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, receipts, and payment-related notices.
- Provide customer support and respond to questions, requests, or complaints.
- Monitor reliability, debug issues, prevent fraud, detect abuse, and protect Fundlyr and its users.
- Improve product features, usability, performance, security, and support workflows.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, security, and contractual obligations.
4. Bank connections
Fundlyr uses authorized bank connection providers to help you connect financial accounts. When you connect an account, you direct us and our providers to access and process the financial data needed to provide budgeting and available-to-spend features.
You can disconnect bank access through Fundlyr, through the bank connection provider when available, or in some cases through your financial institution. Disconnecting a bank may stop future syncing, but previously synced information may remain in Fundlyr until deleted or retained as described below.
5. Payments
Subscription payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Fundlyr does not store full card numbers. We may receive payment status, plan, invoice, trial, cancellation, renewal, and limited billing details from payment providers so we can manage subscriptions and support billing questions.
6. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate Fundlyr, comply with obligations, protect rights and security, or follow your direction. This may include sharing with:
- Bank connection providers that retrieve financial data you authorize.
- Payment processors that handle subscription billing.
- Hosting, database, security, logging, email, analytics, and support providers.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent abuse.
- Successor entities if Fundlyr is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell bank transaction data.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure sessions, prevent abuse, understand basic usage, and improve reliability. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling some cookies may affect account functionality.
8. Security
Fundlyr uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS, salted password hashing, access controls, restricted operational access, and careful handling of financial access tokens and production secrets.
No internet service can guarantee perfect security. You can help protect your account by using a strong unique password, keeping your email account secure, and contacting us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Data retention
We retain account, financial, budgeting, billing, support, log, and security information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain accurate records, comply with legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, and maintain backups.
You may request account deletion through support. Deletion may not immediately remove all backup copies, logs, billing records, or information we are legally or operationally required to retain.
10. Your choices
Depending on your account and applicable law, you may be able to update account information, disconnect bank accounts, cancel subscriptions, request deletion, ask for access to certain information, or contact us with privacy questions.
Some choices may limit or disable parts of Fundlyr. For example, disconnecting a bank account may prevent automatic balance and transaction updates.
11. Children’s privacy
Fundlyr is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to Fundlyr, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated Policy or sending an in-product or email notice. The “Last updated” date shows when this Policy was last revised.
13. Contact
Privacy questions or requests can be sent through Fundlyr support or emailed to fundlyr@datan3rd.com.
